How we make Soltura usable for everyone
Soltura is a learning app, so it has to be usable by every learner. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we fix barriers as we find them.
What we have focused on
- Every screen works with a keyboard, and controls are labelled for screen readers.
- Correct and incorrect answers are marked with icons and words, not by colour alone.
- Text is high-contrast and scales with your browser's font-size setting.
- Pages are responsive from small phones to wide desktops, and the layout follows the reading direction of the language shown.
- Instructions are written in plain language, with Spanish examples alongside English.
Known limitations
- Spoken exercises use your browser's speech recognition, which is not available in every browser — you can always type your answer instead.
- Listening exercises need audio playback; transcripts are shown after you answer.
- Our written lessons are in English and Spanish only.
Tell us about a barrier
If something gets in your way, we want to know — email supportsoltura@gmail.com or use the contact form and tell us which screen you were on and what happened. We will reply with a workaround where we can, and fix what we can.
